Far Distant Place

My graduate thesis project depicts a trip on the Iditarod. The passage, from Gary Paulsen's book Winterdance, recounts the authors horrific training run in preparation for the Iditarod race. Designed of the course of a semester, the book includes original photography, which was a challenge during a year that there was only one snowfall in Pennsylvania. The design emphasizes the frantic situations that Paulsen found himself in and the lessons he learned.

The title of my book "Far Distant Place" is based on the origins of the word Iditarod.
